About Ever Better
A meaningful purpose is central to any great organization. At Ever Better, our purpose is to help social enterprises
become more effective, adaptive, and equitable. Ours is a community-focused business model that supports and builds the economic vitality of the local community. We define our community as the Front Range of Colorado, including Ft. Collins, Boulder, the Denver metro area, and Colorado Springs. Our goal is to perform at least 75% of our client work in the local community, and more than 90% of our work for Certified B Corps, Benefit Corporations, other social enterprises, and nonprofits. Our work is informed by key ideas included in the B Corp Declaration of Interdependence and the vision of Common Future. Regarding systemic racism in the US As a public benefit corporation and Certified B Corp, Ever Better condemns racism in all of its forms. This organization was founded on the principle that businesses can be a force for good, working toward a prosperous economy, sustainable environment and equitable communities. Our communities will not be equitable until we acknowledge and change the systemic oppression of people of color in the United States. Right now Black folks are experiencing compounded health, economic, and safety risks. And in this moment, the ongoing legacy of police brutality and the inequities of COVID-19 are self-evident and undeniable. One action we can take to begin the necessary change is to support Black-owned businesses. Here is a list to get started in the Denver metro area. Another action is to educate ourselves. We recommend reading ‘How to Be An Anti-Racist’ by Ibram X. Kendi. Finally, it is important to support anti-racism financially, and to that end we have made a donation of $750 in 2020 to The Movement for Black Lives.
